Ange Postecoglou asked Ally McCoist for a lift back to Celtic Park after the Viaplay Cup final in a cheeky dig at the Rangers hero's previous comments.
Postecoglou's Celtic successfully defender the League Cup at Hampden and it's already the Greek-Aussie's third trophy since taking the job 18 months ago. Rangers threatened a late comeback but Kyogo's double proved fatal for Michael Beale's team as Postecoglou added another trophy to his burgeoning collection.
Speaking back when Postecoglou was linked with Leeds, McCoist joked he'd happily give him a lift down south if it would speed up his exit given the job he's doing at Parkhead. And Postecoglou got the chance to directly respond as he joined the Viaplay pundits after the game. After finishing his interview, the boss quipped: "Any chance of a lift back to Celtic Park, Ally? You offered me a lift before."
McCoist had made the initial jibe on talkSPORT after a Leeds fan had said he would go and pick Neil Warnock up to take him to Elland Road. McCoist said: “Ange is very good. If Terry the truck driver is going to pick Neil up then I could head up to Glasgow and pick big Ange up.”
