Andy Schuon Named President Of AXS TV And Hdnet

Andy Schuon, a seasoned veteran in the world of cable TV, media, and music, has been appointed as the president of AXS TV and HDNet Movies. These cable channels were originally founded by Mark Cuban and are now owned by Leonard Asper's Anthem Sports and Entertainment since 2019.

Schuon's extensive experience in the industry includes roles such as co-founder of Revolt Media and TV, executive VP and general manager of Warner Bros. Records, and executive VP overseeing programming and production for MTV, MTV2, and VH1. He has been involved in the creation of iconic pop culture events like the VMAs, MTV Movie Awards, and shows like 'Rodman World Tour' and 'MTV Beach House.'

Leonard Asper, the president and CEO of Anthem, praised Schuon as a trailblazer and legendary brand builder, highlighting his ability to make a significant impact on the industry. Asper expressed confidence in Schuon's expertise to lead AXS TV and HDNet Movies into a new era.

Schuon's diverse career also includes roles such as chief digital officer and president of artist services for Ticketmaster and Live Nation, president of programming and marketing for CBS Radio, and founder and CEO of Pressplay (later known as Napster).
