The Helmet Catch. The Philly Special. And now? Thanks to legendary Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, we’ve got another big Super Bowl play to add to the mix.
It’s called … Corn Dog.
No, I’m not kidding. The man known for his love of cheesburgers and a very famous mac and cheese recipe named a certain play from Sunday’s Super Bowl 57 win — the one that got Kadarius Toney WIDE OPEN for a touchdown — has that name.
That’s according to Reid, who told Peter King that was the name. And Reid said Patrick Mahomes absolutely says that out loud.
This is a fantastic exchange:
The @Chiefs tied the #SuperBowl on a play called Corn Dog… Andy Reid is hilarious. #ChiefsKingdom @peter_king

Seriously. Look at this pre-snap motion, as our Christian D’Andrea noted. It’s DELICIOUS.
perhaps the most thoroughly devastating pre-snap motion i have ever seen pic.twitter.com/UIIkh7rHFt
