Andy Reid eloquently broke down the play call that won the Chiefs the Super Bowl

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid is one of the brightest offensive minds of all time, and he had the perfect play to get his team a third Super Bowl win in four years.

While talking with NBC Sports reporter Peter King, Reid broke down the play call that led to quarterback Patrick Mahomes finding wide receiver Mecole Hardman in the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.

It’s always fascinating when you get a glimpse inside the actual lingo that goes into calling one of these historic plays, and Reid does a great job outlining what went into the call and how it worked.

This play is going to live in the memories of Chiefs fans for years to come, and Reid picked the ideal formation to run against an exhausted San Francisco 49ers defense in crunch time to get the huge victory.

If you’re a Chiefs fan, you’ll absolutely hope you see this play again next season, just for old time’s sake.
