Andy Murray hasn't ruled out making a dramatic Wimbledon farewell this year despite undergoing surgery on his back.
The ATP Tour yesterday deleted a social media post which suggested the two-time champion was out of the tournament.
Murray received spinal surgery on Saturday after having to retire from a clash with Jordan Thompson at Queen's Club a few days earlier.
The 37-year-old Scottish hero has previously indicated that he doesn't intend to continue his senior career beyond this year, so a return at Wimbledon, which begins on July 1 could provide the ultimate way to bow out to the British audience.
And it could also provide the Dunblane-born star the best opportunity of representing his country at the Olympic Games in Paris too.
A statement from his representatives said: “Following his surgery on Saturday, Andy is continuing to work with his medical team to confirm when he will return to the court. At this stage, no decisions have been made.”
