Andy Cohen slams 'insane rumours' Meghan Markle didn't interview guests for Archetypes

One guest who appeared on Meghan Markle's axed Archetypes podcast has implied the Duchess didn't interview her last summer when she appeared on an episode - but Andy Cohen has refused to believe this.

Meghan and Harry's £18million Spotify deal was announced to have come to an end last week, with new revelations emerging regarding the Archetypes podcast.

Author Allison Yarrow appeared on an episode of the podcast, which was titled To ‘B’ or not to ‘B’, but thanked an employee at a production company for being "an excellent interviewer" ahead of the episode going out.

In the episode in which Allison appeared, Meghan and her guests spoke about how when people say a woman is "difficult" they mean it as a "code word for the B-word".

Allison can be heard giving an explanation of how the word "b*tch" evolved over the years, with her saying how in the 1800s a "more modern" definition came about, with it being "the worst name you could call an English woman".

But as per the Daily Mail, it has come to light that Allison's commentary might have been recorded separately from the rest of Meghan's podcast.

The paper have claimed that Allison's commentary was edited and interwoven between comments from the Duchess of Sussex, with them also sharing an unearthed snap that "proves" Meghan didn't interview the author.

In the snap, which was posted last August, Allison can be seen sitting in front of a sign for audio production house Gimlet Media.

Captioning the snap, Allison hinted at being interviewed by someone other than Meghan when she penned: "Excited to be included in the visionary series hosted by Meghan the Duchess of Sussex that aims to dissect and subvert the archetypes that hold women back...

Spotify decided not to renew the podcast (Archetypes)

"Cheers to producer @farrahsafari (an excellent interviewer) and the folks at @Gimlet @spotify who get it done!"

Not only this, but earlier this week PodNews claimed that some of Meghan's interviews were actually conducted by other people who worked on the podcast.

The outlet reported that "multiple sources" had claimed that some of the interviews "were done by other staffers", with Andy Cohen since slamming the "insane rumours" amid the discourse circling Meghan's podcast.

Andy, 55, who hosts Watch What Happens, appeared as a guest on the Duchess of Sussex’s Spotify project in 2022.

Following rumours that Meghan didn't conduct some of the interviews on her podcast herself, Andy has branded the rumours "insane".

"Of course, I [spoke with Markle], And she definitely [interviewed me]. That’s an insane rumor,” he told Us Weekly.

"Her podcast is conversations with people. How would she not have, of course she did," he added.

Archetypes was the Duchess' 12-episode podcast which saw Meghan chat to different celebrity pals including the likes of Paris Hilton and Mariah Carey, before it was decided that Spotify would not renew the podcast.
