British Prime Minister Andy Burnham is preparing for a possible first face-to-face meeting with US President Donald Trump in New York next month, as UK officials step up preparations for his expected attendance at the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting has not been formally confirmed, but Burnham has said he is likely to travel to New York after visiting Kyiv on his first overseas trip as prime minister. Ukraine, North Sea oil and gas, trade and wider international security could feature in discussions with Trump.
