Andrew McGinley has paid a touching tribute to his daughter Carla on what would have been her 6th birthday.
The father has spent the past few years honouring the memories of his three children Conor, Darragh and Carla after their tragic deaths in 2020.
Andrew took to the Twitter account Conors Clips, which pays tribute to his eldest son, to post photos of Carla on her birthday. One photo shows Carla wearing a Santa hat in front of the family’s Christmas tree.

He wrote: “My gorgeous girl would be 6 years old today. Happy birthday Carla.”
People expressed their sympathies in the comments section. They praised Andrew for his active efforts to keep his children’s memories alive, including the creation of his YouTube channel Conors Clips, which shows happy videos of the siblings throughout their short lives.
One person wrote: “A daddy’s girl who would be unbelievably proud of the things her father has achieved in her and her brothers names! Happy birthday sweet angel, thinking of you today Andew.”
Others sympathised with the unimaginable pain the father faces on days like today. They urged him to take care of himself, reassuring Andrew that his children would never be forgotten.
Another comment read: “My heart really goes out to you Andrew, especially on occasions like today. I know your heart is broken, but one thing is for sure, your beautiful children Conor, Darragh and Carla would be extremely proud of you.”
The children’s mother, Deirdre Morley, was found not guilty of their murders by reason of insanity. Deirdre Morley is currently being detained at the Central Mental Hospital, but has recently applied for partial release from the facility. Andrew was informed by the HSE of his wife’s application under the release scheme, admitting that he was “surprised” by the news.
