NEW DELHI: Rocky Flintoff, aged 16 and son of former England all-rounder Andrew, received selection for the England Lions squad on January 3 for their upcoming Australian tour.
Rocky, who began his professional career with Lancashire through a contract in June, joined the Lions squad as a late addition this month in South Africa - the initial tour since Andrew's appointment as the team's head coach in September.
The Lions selection includes five players currently in the senior squad: Shoaib Bashir, Pat Brown, Tom Hartley, Josh Tongue, and John Turner.
The England team will depart for Australia on January 3 to participate in two four-day fixtures against a Cricket Australia XI in Brisbane, followed by a first-class match against Australia A in Sydney.
