Andrew Cushin 'can't believe it' as headline gig sells out at Newcastle City Hall

Geordie singer Andrew Cushin has sold out his biggest hometown venue show to date at Newcastle's O2 City Hall.

The Heaton artist will play to a 2,500-strong crowd at the city's iconic venue on Saturday, November 4 after tickets sold out in just 10 days.

It's an impressive feat for the 23-year-old who is yet to release his first album. However, it will come as no surprise to many as the young Geordie has gained a legion of fans since he burst into the limelight in 2020 with his debut single, ‘It’s Gonna Get Better.'

Cushin, who signed to Peter Doherty's label, Strap Originals, in 2021, released his debut EP with the label called 'You Don't Belong' last year.

The massive Newcastle show is part of his 'Waiting for the Rain' UK and Ireland tour which will kick off in October.

And now an extra date at the city's O2 has been announced following his sell-out success. Cushin will also perform at the venue on Saturday, December 16, with tickets set to go on sale this Friday (May 12).

Reacting to the news Cushin said: "I can't believe it. This is a huge moment for me, my management, friends and family. Thank you all so much. Because of your fantastic support, I'm now delighted to confirm that we'll be back for a second date on December 16.

"Tickets on sale Friday. Let's do this Newcastle!"
