Andrew and Tristan Tate will remain in federal custody in Miami while they contest extradition to Britain after a US magistrate judge rejected their request for release.
US Magistrate Judge Lauren F. Louis ruled on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, that the brothers had failed to demonstrate that they did not pose a flight risk or danger to the community, or that special circumstances justified their release.
