Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has hailed the Leeds United Women's team after they lifted the FA Women's National League Plate following their 3-1 win over Stourbridge Women yesterday afternoon.
Macy Ellis gave the Phoenix the lead after 30 minutes thanks to a rebounded Amy Woodruff strike which was palmed into her path by Glassgirls goalkeeper Amie Preston.
However, the score was soon level as Hannah Fishwick's curling effort was too good for Whites shot-stopper Carrie Simpson who was unable to get a hand to the shot.

Rick Passmoor's side would retake the lead just after the hour mark though, as a poor mistake by Preston allowed Abbie Brown to latch onto the end of Woodruff's cross and fire home to make it 2-1.
Woodruff would finally get her own after the two assists from earlier in the day, a brilliant header off of an Ellis cross left the goalkeeper no chance and secured the Plate for the Phoenix.
Radrizzani took to social media after the final to congratulate his side on lifting the plate, saying: "We had to restart Woman’s football at Leeds United around 6 years ago. Look at our team now. Keep growing, you make your club proud every day. #LUFC congrats."
