TIRUPATI: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board, in a surprising move, has decided to shut down all private eateries, hotels and fast food centres in the hill town and serve only annaprasadam to visiting devotees.
During the trust board meeting held on Thursday, the TTD top brass announced that all devotees, right from the chief minister to the common man, would be served only annaprasadam and all private hotels and fast food centres will be shut down soon. Alternate trade licenses will be provided to the hoteliers, the temple body said.
