VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh reported 75 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the cumulative caseload to 23,19,141.
The state has not recorded any Covid-19 related deaths for the sixth consecutive day. Forty-six people were declared cured on Friday.
There are 536 active cases with 23,03,875 cumulative recoveries and 14,730 fatalities. Anantapur recorded 23 new Covid-19 cases, followed by East Godavari (14) and Visakhapatnam (11). Eight districts posted single-digit case numbers, while Kurnool and Srikakulam did not record any new infections.
Andhra Pradesh has so far administered 8.88 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses. About 1.15 lakh children in the 12-14 age group have been given their first doses by Friday evening. According to projections, there are 14.9 lakh children in this age bracket. The remaining eligible population categories, including the 15-18 group and 18-plus cohort, have already achieved 100% second dose coverage.
