VIJAYAWADA: The high court on Tuesday stayed the proceedings issued by the Chittoor district collector allotting rooms to the various heads of departments in Sri Padmavati Nilayam at Tiruchanoor. The high court directed the collector to maintain status quo and asked the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam to file a counter affidavit.
Former member of TTD and BJP functionary G Bhanu Prakash Reddy moved the high court challenging the resolution of the TTD board to hand over Sri Padmavati Nilayam to the district administration and the subsequent proceedings issued by the collector to allot rooms to various departments.
