Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has rung the changes for tonight's League Cup clash at Prenton Park. The second-round encounter against League Two Tranmere Rovers was the first test of the domestic cup campaign for Eddie Howe.
Howe named Karl Darlow in goal with Sweden international Emil Krafth at right-back while Paul Dummett and skipper Jamaal Lascelles were the two centre-backs.
Matt Targett returned from a hamstring problem to patrol the left-hand flank while Sean Longstaff, Joe Willock and Elliot Anderson made up the midfield. Matt Ritchie, Jacob Murphy and Chris Wood formed a three-strong attack.

I understand that Martin Dubravka reported in with an "illness" in the build-up to the game. A strong bench included Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier.
