AFTER making a final campaigning appearance with Keir Starmer in front of Labour MSPs, councillors and activists in East Kilbride on Wednesday, Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar did his democratic duty this morning by going to cast his vote in Glasgow.
According to the polls, Labour are on course for a huge majority in the Commons and Sarwar was all smiles as he approached Pollokshields Burgh Hall with his wife and son.
But on his travels to the polling station in the south of the city, he was awkwardly followed by a disgruntled protester who appeared behind him holding up a sign saying “Starmer is a snake”.
There are plenty of folks out there who can see right through their pledges of “change” and you have until 10pm to make sure they are told where to go.
Elsewhere, Scotland's other leaders have also been snapped as they headed to their polling station to cast their vote.
John Swinney was spotted with his son Matthew as well as SNP candidate for Angus and Perthshire Glens Dave Doogan.
Douglas Ross meanwhile, who is contesting the seat in the stead of former MP David Duguid, was also spotted out with his family heading to vote.
