With the Tennessee Titans’ Week 2 game in the books and their first win of 2023 under their belt, it’s time to take a look at the team’s snap counts from the 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Titans were missing three starters in total, with cornerback Kristian Fulton, safety Amani Hooker and left guard Peter Skoronski all ruled out.

Without further ado, here’s our analysis of the snap counts on offense and defense from Week 2.
Snap counts: Offense
-A struggling Xavier Newman lasted just 12 snaps at left guard before being replaced by Dillon Radunz, who was seeing his first action since tearing his ACL last season. Tennessee’s unit definitely stabilized a bit after the move, although the group’s performance overall wasn’t good.
-Nick Westbrook-Ikhine led all wide receivers with 44 snaps, and he has the second-most snaps of all wideouts after two games, trailing only Treylon Burks, who had 42 on Sunday. DeAndre Hopkins, who was dealing with an ankle injury coming in, wasn’t on the field much to start the game but ended up with 39. Chris Moore, who had just nine snaps in Week 1, was on the field for 30 in Week 2. All four receivers came up with big catches on Sunday.
-Trevon Wesco (15 more) and Josh Whyle (12 more) saw more action in Week 2. Both had a false start penalty, and Wesco had a drop, also. Chig once again led all tight ends in snaps.
-After being out-snapped by Tyjae Spears in Week 1, Derrick Henry had 22 more than the rookie in Week 2. Spears was the more effective runner based on yards per carry, though, averaging 6.1 yards per tote to Henry’s 3.2. It is important to point out, however, that Spears is often getting the ball in less obvious rushing situations than Henry. Even still, both players were difference-makers on Sunday.
Snap counts: Defense
-With Amani Hooker sidelined, Elijah Molden was on the field for every snap. Kevin Byard was the only other defender to play all 68 snaps. Roger McCreary, Sean Murphy-Bunting and Azeez Al-Shaair played all but one.
-Tre Avery played significant snaps (56) with Kristian Fulton sidelined. Mike Brown also saw a bump as a result of Hooker’s absence, going from five in Week 1 to 20 in Week 2. He nearly had an interception, also.
-Monty Rice did not see the field on defense and has yet to play a single defensive snap over two games. Jack Gibbens continues to get the snaps alongside Al-Shaair, with Dr. Gibby playing 45.
-Jeffery Simmons led the defensive line in snaps with 60, followed by Denico Autry (45), Teair Tart (34), and then Kyle Peko (27), who was elevated from the practice squad. Naquan Jones and Jayden Peevy saw six and four, respectively.
-Harold Landry led all outside linebackers with 54 snaps, and Arden Key wasn’t far behind with 49. Rashad Weaver once again played sparingly with nine and Trevis Gipson and preseason star Caleb Murphy were inactive.
