Chelsea clear-out: the 15 players who could leave Stamford Bridge as part of a major squad overhaul

Chelsea are set for a player clear-out this summer, as they plan an overhaul of their squad for next season.

Player sales will be key to reducing the size of the squad, while the club could be forced to cash in on several young stars to avoid further Financial Fair Play scrutiny.

Here, Standard Sport assesses who could leave Stamford Bridge...

Mason Mount: Liverpool want to sign the midfielder after talks with Chelsea over a new deal stalled. Todd Boehly does not want players running down their contracts, so Mount could be sold, with Manchester United also monitoring the situation.

Conor Gallagher: Liverpool, Newcastle and West Ham are all keen on the midfielder, who is among a group of home-grown stars who could help Chelsea generate close to £200million in player sales.

Christian Pulisic: Has just one year left on his contract and is unhappy with his lack of game time. Wanted by clubs several Italian clubs, including Juventus.

Hakim Ziyech: Saw a deadline-day move to Paris Saint-Germain collapse in farcical circumstances in January, when it was claimed Chelsea failed to submit the required paperwork in time. Likely to have interest from clubs around Europe.

Trevoh Chalobah: Signed a six-year contract in November but was overlooked for new signings under Graham Potter and faces uncertain future.

Kalidou Koulibaly: Chelsea are ready to cash in on a player they signed for £33m last summer, but the defender is on big wages and wants to stay.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Out in the cold at Chelsea since being left out of their Champions League squad and is desperate to leave. The striker has interest from Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan.

Mateo Kovacic: Midfielder is a key player but has just one year left on his contract and Chelsea would not stand in his way if he wanted to leave, with Manchester City interested.

Edouard Mendy: Goalkeeper has lost his No1 spot to Kepa Arrizabalaga and Chelsea are ready to let him go after contract negotiations stalled.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek: Has just one year left on his contract and, while he is unlikely to force his own exit, the club would sanction his departure.

Cesar Azpilicueta: Legendary captain faces an uncertain future after Chelsea signed Lyon full-back Malo Gusto for £26.3m. Could leave after more than a decade at the club.

Denis Zakaria: Will return to Juventus at the end of his loan deal.

Levi Colwill: Chelsea do not want to sell the defender, who is on loan at Brighton, but Manchester City and Liverpool hope to poach him. Will stay if he is given a prominent role.

Romelu Lukaku: Chelsea are desperate to sell the £97.5m striker when he returns from his loan at Inter, but finding a club willing to take on his £325,000-a-week wages will be tough.

Callum Hudson-Odoi: Struggling out on loan in Germany and has interest from Premier League clubs.
