An Irish Goodbye: Star of Oscar-nominated short James Martin 'brings house down' with harmonica solo in LA

The star of the BAFTA-winning Northern Irish short film An Irish Goodbye has been wowing crowds in Los Angeles with his musical talent.

James Martin, who plays Lorcan in the acclaimed short, is currently in the States ahead of this year's Oscars where the film has been nominated for 'Best Live Action Short'.

Written and directed by East Belfast filmmaker Ross White and his creative partner Tom Berkeley, An Irish Goodbye is set against the backdrop of a working farm in rural Northern Ireland and follows the reunion of estranged brothers Turlough (Seamus O’Hara) and Lorcan after the untimely death of their mother.
