Amy Broadhurst is looking forward to enjoying some 'personal downtime' after a long and exhausting season.
The 25-year old has enjoyed quite an incredible few months after winning World Championship gold in May before taking home gold in the Commonwealth Games on Sunday.
In doing so, she became the first female fighter to win a gold medal in boxing at the Commonwealth Games for team Northern Ireland.

In the aftermath of her historic win in Birmingham, the Dundalk native took to Instagram to let fans know that she is planning on relaxing over the next few weeks, after a tough season which has left her 'physically and mentally exhausted.'
"World champion & commonwealth games champion in the space of 3 months is something I am very proud of," said Broadhurst.
"Making history being the first female to win a Gold medal in boxing for Northern Ireland at these games is amazing & something I will carry thru (sic) my career.
"It’s been a long year, very tiring even though it’s been amazing. Thank you to everybody who has supported me.
"In the politest possible way I ask everyone to understand that am physically & mentally exhausted, I hope you can all respect my personal downtime for a few weeks. Afterwards I will be happy to do interviews etc but for now I need some time to myself."
'Baby Canelo' then goes on to thank her sponsors and all her supporters for their support throughout the past few months.
Broadhurst's gold medal rounded off an historic Commonwealth Games for Team Northern Ireland. In total, they won seven gold and silver medals, while also winning four bronze medals for a total of 18 medals over the course of the tournament.
