Amol Kale's remains to be kept at Wankhede for last respects

MUMBAI: The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) will bring Amol Kale's mortal remains to the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday for the association's members and friends to offer their final respects to the MCA president, who passed away in New York on Monday.

Kale's mortal remains will be kept at the MCA Lounge between 1-2 pm and then at his residence at Pali Hill, Bandra for Antim Darshan between 4-5 pm, the MCA informed in a statement. The funeral will be held at 5 pm at the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium.

Paying tribute to Kale, India great Sachin Tendulkar posted on X: "Shocked to hear about the untimely demise of MCA President Shri Amol Kale. Condolences to his family and close ones as they find the strength to overcome this sudden loss."

BCCI secretary Jay Shah posted, "Deeply saddened to hear about the sudden demise of Amol Kale. His dedication to Mumbai cricket was exemplary. Deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time."
