Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said the scale of Punjab's drug problem was far more disturbing than what official reports had led him to believe. Shah said this after meeting families who had suffered because of the drug trade.
Speaking in Ludhiana, Shah said he had visited Gurdaspur, Sangrur and Mansa earlier in the day and met the families of three men who had either been killed or died by suicide while fighting against drugs.
