American Football is coming to Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Saturday as the Northwestern Wildcats take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
It’s the first of five games in the highly-anticipated Aer Lingus College Football Classic and marks the first time either of these two titans of college football have ever played in Ireland.
Attendees can expect the full American Football gameday experience, with both teams bringing their cheer squad and marching bands with them.

They touched down in Dublin earlier this week and have been exploring the city ahead of the clash.
Both teams have been spotted visiting the Aviva Stadium and getting to grips with the pitch ahead of the game.
Thousands of fans will pack into the stadium, while it will be broadcast live on US TV to an estimated audience of 3 million.
Nebraska is one of the most successful American College Football teams in history, and has strong Irish ties to the city of Chicago where the Wildcats are based. They’re led by Irish-American Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald.
Meanwhile the support of the Cornhuskers in Nebraska is avid and unwavering. The team have sold out their now 85,000 capacity stadium for 382 consecutive home games, stretching all the way back to 1962. The Cornhuskers have the best win percentage in college football over the past 50 years and have captured five national championships.
