Thousands of American Football fans are set to descend on Dublin’s Aviva Stadium this weekend for the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.
On Saturday evening the Northwestern Wildcats will take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, marking the first time either of these two titans of college football have ever played in Ireland.
Attendees can expect the full American Football gameday experience, with both teams bringing their cheer squad and marching bands with them.

This year’s Aer Lingus College Football Classic will take place on Saturday, August 27 at Dublin's Aviva Stadium, with the game getting underway at 5.30pm.

Tickets for the Northwestern Wildcats vs Nebraska Cornhuskers game at Dublin's Aviva Stadium start at €60 and go up as far as €225.

How to get to the Aviva Stadium in Dublin
Public transport is by far the best way to get to the Aviva Stadium, Dublin Live reports.
The DART leaves you right beside the stadium at the Lansdowne Road stop. Meanwhile, Dublin Bus routes that take you near the venue include the number 4, 7, 7A, 38, 38A, 39 and 39A
The Aviva Stadium takes around 40 minutes to get to by foot from O'Connell Street and around 30 minutes from St Stephen's Green.
