Ambulance worker jailed for attempting to kill boss with hammer

An ambulance worker has been jailed after she tried to kill her boss with a hammer and then texted “oppsie xx!” to her friend, police said.

Stacey Smith, 46, waited outside her manager’s home before attempting to murder her in “an unprovoked and frenzied hammer attack”, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
