Amazon to end Echo privacy setting, sending voice recordings to cloud

Amazon will remove one of the key privacy-boosting features of its Alexa smart assistant platform later this month.

An email sent to users announced that starting March 28, the operation of Echo smart speakers will change, with the “Do Not Send Voice Recordings” option being removed.
