A pub owner was fuming after ordered a pack of straws from Amazon - and it came 'Russian-doll style' inside three cardboard boxes up to 1m wide. Beverley Parker-Stubbs, 51, ordered a single box of straws for the Queen's jubilee celebrations for her pub.
Amazon has confirmed the package was not sent directly by them, but by a third-party retailer.
The grandmother was furious though when she ended up with a 1x1m large box containing another smaller box inside, and another smaller box inside that. A picture of the 'Russian dolls' boxes shows the ridiculous packing method, forcing her to recycle at least four times more cardboard than was necessary, she says.
