Amazon has waited until the second day of its two day Prime summer sale to launch a major discount on its new 43-inch 4K UHD Fire TV set. The retail giant launched the new smart TVs in the UK earlier this year and a 43-inch version of the 4 Series model usually costs £429.99.
However, Amazon has cut the Fire TV's price by an astonishing £310 and is selling it for just £119.99 for a short time only. The TV is the middle of the range of the brand's new smart TVs. It comes with 4K Ultra HD, HDR 10, HLG and Dolby Digital Plus.
It also comes with a Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote that allows you to press and ask to find favourite apps, films and programmes, plus check the weather, sports scores and more. The TV also offers access to streaming services including Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+.

Unlike the range-topping Omni Series of Fire TVs it does not offer hands free use of Alexa and two way video calling but a price of £119.99 means it could be the biggest bargain in the Prime Day sale in 2023. The deal makes it the cheapest Fire TV in the range including the entry-level 2 Series models and is sure to make smart TV rivals such as Samsung sit up and take notice.
We are willing to say that TV deal could be the best Amazon Prime Day discount this year. Yesterday Amazon cut the price of the 40-inch 2 Series to just £199.99 but that deal has been blown away by the more advanced version of the set.
Amazon Prime Day is set to end at midnight on Tuesday 12 July. The two-day sales event is the second biggest of its kind of the year after Black Friday, which takes place in November. Amazon has cut the price of tens of thousands of items for Prime Day, while rival retailers including Currys, John Lewis, Boots and more have launched their own summer sales to compete with Amazon's discounts.
