Amazon is now officially a grocer and must follow code of conduct

Online giant Amazon has been officially classed as a grocery retailer in the UK.

The confirmation by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) means that Amazon will have to follow the regulator's supply code.

The CMA said that designating the online technology giant as a grocery retailer would help to protect its UK supplier base.
