Amazon has early 'hidden' Black Friday deals hours before sale begins

Amazon will officially launch Black Friday 2022 in a few hours when the first deals appear at midnight.

The online retail giant has confirmed there are 'hidden' deals available already if you know where to look on the deals section of the Amazon website. They include discounts on Ninja blenders, Sony headphones, Shark vacuum cleaners and smart TVs.

The deals live now are unlikely to be the best the site has to offer in the week before Black Friday on 25 November but Amazon says there are 'a small selection of interesting deals that are live today' that may not have been spotted by shoppers in the hours running up to the beginning of Black Friday.

Amazon has shared 39 deals in total in the pre Black Friday 'hidden' sale and the first two are for Shark vacuum cleaners, a staple of the brand's discounts during sales events. The discounts match those found elsewhere including the Shark website itself.

The biggest saving out of the deals, outside of Shark, can be found on Revlon One-Step Volumisers, which are reduced by 40% to £47 in the sale. A Sarah Jessica Parker branded perfume (£15) and a Roku Express streaming player (£18) are the cheapest deals listed in the secret sale.

Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones are down 21% in the sale to a price of £278. The Sony headphones are often reduced in Amazon's sales but this represents the lowest price the headphones have been listed for months in time for Black Friday. Ninja food processors are also reduced in the sale by 25%, with a price of £149 likely to entice some buyers.

The more unusual items include Fairy laundry tablets at £29 for 120 and a spiced gin for £18.

The eclectic 39 item-strong sale is live now across the Amazon deals section of the website and highlights the unusual nature of Amazon's Black Friday sale, where large sections of the site ranging from fashion to groceries are reduced in what is billed as the biggest sales event of the year.

Amazon is set to launch Black Friday at midnight with the first Lightning deals - deals designed to last a short period of time or until they sell out - arriving on Friday 18 November early in the morning. Black Friday itself falls on 25 November and Amazon is expected to hold back some of the biggest deals and discounts for the day itself.

All of Amazon's Black Friday deals can be seen here. Rival sites such as Currys, John Lewis and Very have all launched Black Friday sales early with many prices matching those of Amazon.
