Amazon Fire TV update blocks users from installing certain apps

Amazon's Fire TV is stamping out third party launchers with new software updates.

Fire TV - which gives users access to dozens of streaming services and games - currently offers apps that provide personalised shortcuts for users.

These apps replace the Fire TV home screen, enabling users to customise their on-screen design with things like user profiles, viewing history and 'what to watch' recommendations.
