Tributes have been paid to an "amazing" mum after she died due to complications with her knee surgery.
Carol Ann Andrew from Southport has been described by her friend Jayne as a "loving and hilarious" person who "always had a smile on her face". The mum-of-two had surgery after falling in Tesco car park in December.
Just before Christmas Carol twisted her knee and was taken to hospital by her husband, her condition worsened and she died on January 6. Jayne who worked as a carer with Carol said she was a "mischievous" friend with a "heart of gold".
