A man who was tragically stabbed to death told a friend to "look after yourself" moments before he was killed.
Dylan Keelan, aged 20, and hailed by friends and family as an "amazing lad", had been at a party and went to a shop to purchase some balloons.
While inside the store in Tameside, Manchester, he was described as being in a good mood and laughing and joking, Manchester Evening News reports.
Screams were heard just moments after Dylan had left the shop, however, after he was ambushed and stabbed in a brutal attack.
He was discovered on the floor, where a customer gave him CPR before police and an ambulance arrived but Dylan sadly died of his injuries.
Dylan's friend said: "He went to the shop to buy some balloons and when he was leaving he said 'look after yourself' and gave a fist bump.
"When he went outside we heard people who were screaming, and then we went outside and saw some people running away.
"He was on the floor and a customer tried to give him CPR.
"He was such a nice lad and in really good spirits."
Dylan died after being attacked on Cheetham Hill Road in Dukinfield on Friday.
Four teenage boys, two aged 16 and two aged 17, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Two remain in custody for questioning, whilst two were yesterday released under investigation.
Dylan's mum paid a heartbreaking tribute to her son last night.
In a statement released by police, she said: "Dylan, my son, was a lovely, hardworking, kind and respectful boy.
"He absolutely loved his family and close friends.
"Dylan will be missed dearly by everyone who had the pleasure to be around him. He will never be forgotten and will always be in my heart and part of my life. It is difficult to put into words at this moment as I am broken and distraught.
"I just want to say thank you to everyone for their support, kind words and donations.
"Finally, in Dylan's own words 'Always find a way to turn a negative into a positive', so let's all stay strong together."
Dylan is the third young person to be stabbed to death in Manchester in just 14 days.
Police are appealing for witnesses to Dylan's murder.
Detective Inspector Lee Shaw, of GMP's Major Incident Team, said: "Our thoughts are with Dylan's loved ones - specialist colleagues are liaising with them.
"We have two suspects in custody but our investigation is very much ongoing so I appeal to anyone who can assist us in any way, shape or form to get in touch.
"Extra officers remain in the area to reassure the community whilst exercising their powers to carry out increased stops and searches under Section 60."
