The two teams, both based in Sheffield, are now being investigated, with league bosses vowing that they will be "dealt with in the strongest possible terms." Get the latest news from WalesOnline sent straight to your inbox for free by signing up to our newsletters.
The day following the Queen's death, Sheffield International FC tweeted that its scheduled match would be played as a friendly instead, despite the Sheffield and District Fair Play League ordering all matches to be cancelled, Sky News reports. However, after complaining that someone had "snitched on" them, the team announced that the friendly game was off and they would run a training session instead.
