Amanda Kloots has been dealing with her own grief for the past two years following the death of her husband Nick Cordero from a COVID-19 complication in July 2020.
Tragically, their three-year-old son Elvis has started asking her where his dad is.
Elvis was just 13 months old when his father sadly died.
And, as Amanda was speaking to iHeartRadio show The Important Things with Bobbi Brown last week, she revealed that the toddler still remembers his father.
She said: "I don't know if that's because we watch so many videos together of Nick or because I talk about Nick so much. But he does, he does say that and I love it. But it makes me wonder."
Amanda said that conversations about her late husband have continued and that it's caused her little boy to start asking her "where his dad is" which has sparked up a new development in her own grief story.
She said: "I feel like that part of grief is going to start happening, where I have to now face his grief after dealing with mine for the last two years.
"Helping Elvis understand at this young age where Dad is, why Dad doesn't live with us, what happened to Dad. And it's been really, really, really hard."
Amanda went on to say that she told her son that "Dada lives in heaven with Jesus but he's all around us all the time," and that his father is always watching over them and happy for them to talk to him.
Amanda has found that since losing her husband, the month of September has been particularly challenging as the month it marks both his birthday and their anniversary.
Speaking to People, Amanda said: "September always feels like a new start to me, feels more to me like a new year than January, and I think with all those events that are important, and with Elvis going to school, it was a hard month."
As well as dealing with both her own and her son's grief, Amanda revealed that Elvis wants her to be at home all the time which has made it difficult for her to find a balance as a working mum and also try to "maybe go on a date here or there."
