Amanda Holden tried to bring an abrupt end to a Britain's Got Talent audition before it had even begun on Saturday night, in a move that shocked her fellow judges.
With her Golden Buzzer hit weeks ago for young singer Olivia Lynes, after her amazing rendition of Defying Gravity from Wicked, Amanda had to cast her eye over some of the remaining acts hoping to make it through to the live shows of the ITV show's new series. And, one of those was a man named Tom, a 31-year-old from York, who told the judges: "What I want to do today uses one of these," as he produced a Rubix cube from his pocket.
The mere sight of the puzzle, an iconic toy from yesteryear, was enough to turn Amanda off, as she reached forward to hit the red button, promoting Britain's Got Talent colleague Bruno Tonioli to jump out of his seat and tell her: "Oh my god, I nearly had a heartache," as a defiant and clearly already disinterested Amanda replied: "It's so boring!"

Tom carried on despite Amanda's very obvious lack of approval and ended up getting Bruno to be involved in the act, as he tried to explain what he hoped to achieve by mixing up 100 Rubix cubes and said: "You'd be amazed what you can achieve in a couple of minutes," as an also bored Simon Cowell looked away from his seat.
Bruno was the second judge to hit the red button as members of the audience also started to look fed up and Alesha hit her buzzer too, after Tom got a fact wrong about her. And, sadly for Tom, while Simon didn't actually hit his button, it looked like that was the end of the road for his Britain's Got Talent journey.
