Amanda Holden has shared a defiant message when it comes to her daughter ever wanting to appear on Love Island. The Britain's Got Talent judge shares two children, Lexi, 17, and 11-year-old Hollie with her husband, Chris Hughes.
And Lexi is already starting to follow in her mum's footsteps after signing up to the prestigious Storm modelling agency. But speaking last year, Amanda insisted the teen will finish her education first before she embarks on her burgeoning modelling career.
Speaking to The Sun back in March 2022, Amanda said: "Lexi was approached last year and obviously we were waiting until she was 16 to sign anything. It's something she actually wants to do, so I'm taking the lead from her. She's a very quiet girl but she knows her own mind. She's very bright and wants to continue her studies."

She added: "'There's no pressure and we'll just see what happens. But finishing her education is very much her plan, she'll have our support whatever she decides to do." But that may not extend to appearing on a certain ITV2 dating show in the future.
"I got a question for you. Would you ever let your kids go on Love Island?" Ashley Roberts asked both Amanda and Jamie Theakston on their Heart Radio breakfast show. Both instantly replied "no!" before former Pussycat Doll Ashley continued to ask: "Why? They could find love..."
She added: "Gordon Ramsay feels the same as you. He doesn't watch it actually because he has three daughters [he] doesn't even take the risk that one day they're going to just appear on the show." Amanda then replied: "No way.. my daughter’s 18 next year...
"It's just another way of being famous, isn't it really? It's not really about love. It's just about looking hot and just getting involved... but I mean, it's just amazing telly but it's not really for love so I don't want my daughter anywhere near."
While Ashley said: "Every now and then it works. Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury..." following the couples recent announcement that they had become first-time parents to their daughter, Bambi. But Amanda wasn't entirely convinced: "I mean that's a one off. That's a fabulous story."
Back in December, Amanda divided fans when she took her daughter along to her first big red carpet event. Prior to stepping in front of the cameras, Amanda filmed the then-16-year-old getting glam for the star-studded event, held at London's Royal Albert Hall. As Lexi could be seen curling her eyelashes, Amanda penned alongside the video: "My little Lexi is coming to #fashionawards2022."
"She's going official," the mum-of-two added before tagging her eldest daughter's Instagram account. And she was clearly a proud mum as she posted a stunning picture of Lexi in a Sylvio Giardina black gown which featured a lace bodice and a ruffled skirt. Amanda, meanwhile, opted for an off-the-shoulder Nicolas Jebran number which appeared to be made out of shiny PVC material which clung to Amanda's sensational curves. The dress flowed to the floor with a train that matched the red carpet and while her shoes were hidden, we could see that her blonde tresses had been kept down and slicked back to create a voluminous style.
But while the social media posts were inundated with compliments from Amanda's celebrity pals and fans alike, some felt that Lexi appeared a little too grown-up. @jejackson30 said: "Oh no why do you want her to look old before her time." @birdbytheocean commented: "Sorry no, way too mature a look for such a beautiful young teenager." @claire.hooker1408 added: "Sorry but i think she 16 and she is dressed so much older let her be a teen."
