The Britain's Got Talent : The Ultimate Magician judging panel will get quite the fright thanks to one act on this weekend's show.
Viewers will watch as Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Las Vegas legend Penn Jillette, of Penn & Teller fame, get up close and personal with some real-life snakes hidden as 'gifts'.
Amanda - who recently wowed in a chic winter outfit - ends up running away from her desk screaming thanks to hopeful act The Witch causing some chaos on the special edition of the long-running ITV show.
Stephen Mulhern replaces the usual Britain's Got Talent presenting duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly as host for the spin-off show, as ten magical acts aim to impress the judges to be crowned the Ultimate Magician and bag a £50,000 prize.
On Sunday night's show, The Witch - who appeared on Britain's Got Talent earlier this year - returns to the stage and heads to the judges' desk to present the stars with some special 'gifts'.
In a preview for the episode, Alesha reads out a story, as instructed by The Witch, as the hopeful magician reveals David's 'gift' to be an unappealing arrangement of rotten fruit - complete with worms wiggling around the inedible apples and oranges.
"Alesha's fear began to wind up tight," the star continues to read as it's time for her 'gift' to be revealed as a Jack-in-the-box toy.
As Amanda's gift is opened to unmask a seemingly innocent-looking teddy bear, the Heart FM radio presenter looks pleasantly surprised as Alesha continues to read the tale and Penn's present of a snow globe is unveiled.
But things get 'chaotic' as the teddy bear's head is removed and its body ripped open to free a huge snake - leading Amanda to run from the desk in fear.
"I hate snakes," the star shrieks as she flees from her seat and seeks 'safety' away from the snake.
Fans of the show will have to tune in this weekend to discover what happens next.
One familiar face missing from the judging panel for the special edition of Britain's Got Talent is Simon Cowell.
The X Factor mastermind was unable to appear on the show due to filming commitments in America, so magic legend Penn replaced the music mogul and joined David, Alesha and Amanda on the desk.
Ahead of shooting, Penn told ITV: "Being a guest judge on BGT is going to be the cushiest job ever.
"They’ve gone all around the world to find the most astounding magicians, and I get to sit and watch and be amazed. I cannot wait!"
Speaking about the line-up of acts featuring on Britain's Got Talent: The Ultimate Magican, Amelia Brown, Managing Director of producers Thames, said: "We’ve scoured a huge selection of incredibly talented magicians across many Got Talent shows around the world, to bring audiences the very best performers on one stage.
"Viewers can expect a spellbinding display of talent with magic that needs to be seen to be believed."
Britain’s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician will air on Sunday 18th December at 20:00 on ITV
