Amanda Bynes’ parents break silence on daughter’s mental health crisis after conservatorship battle

The parents of Amanda Bynes have reacted to her latest mental health crisis following their conservatorship battle.

Rick and Lynn Bynes previously had the 36-year-old former child star placed under a conservatorship which ended in 2022 after nine years.

While said to be “deeply concerned” about their daughter’s well-being, a source has told TMZ that currently “another conservatorship isn’t on the table”.

Amanda has been placed on psychiatric hold after she was found wandering the streets naked and alone near downtown Los Angeles in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to reports.

She is said to have flagged down a car and told the person driving that she was “coming down from a psychotic episode”, before she called 911 for herself.

She had been due to reunite with the cast of All That at 90s Con on Saturday, but pulled out at the last minute with organisers That’s 4 Entertainment. siting “unknown illness”.

Her co-stars Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Danny Tamberelli and Lori Beth Denberg were at the convention.

The Standard has contacted a representative for Amanda Bynes for comment.
