Amad Diallo in cryptic Rangers future hint as Manchester United winger declares 'we are the champions'

Buzzing Amad Diallo says he's opened a "new page" in his career after lifting the Scottish Cup with Rangers.

The Manchester United winger was tipped as a major January coup but struggled to make a consistent impact under Gio van Bronckhorst.

But he scored three goals for Rangers including two in two games against Dundee United and Ross County this month.

In what looks set to be his final game in Light Blue, he played an hour against Hearts in the Cup Final and got his hands on the trophy at the end of extra-time.

And while he didn't feature in Wednesday night's Europa League Final defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, the 19-year-old can't help but feel some responsibility.

Writing on social media, the fleet-footed Ivorian admitted he "feels bad" about the defeat in Seville.

But he's thanked Rangers for allowing him to open up the next chapter of his career by winning the cup before he assesses his options in the summer.

He said: "I felt so bad about the loss of my second Europa League final, but today a new page in my career has begun and I thank God for everything.

"We are the champions."

Diallo cost Manchester United close to £20m in January last year and they remain hopeful he will have a future in the Premier League.
