Manchester United technical director Darren Fletcher insists Amad Diallo is "doing really well" at Rangers.
Big things were expected when the prospect has signed on loan in January to boost Gio van Bronckhorst's attacking options.
The Ivorian penned a deal with United back in January 2021 from Italian giants Atalanta for a fee in the region of £20m with potential for that to double based on add-ons.
However, he has failed to show the form that earned him his big-money move so far in the midst of the Premiership title race.
The 19-year-old has started just three games for Rangers, and netted just one goal so far against Ross County.
Despite this, Old Trafford chief insists the winger has been a success so far in Glasgow as he singled out Diallo for praise at a Manchester United fan forum.
The former Scotland captain reckons Diallo could be an integral part of the “pipeline of academy talent" forming the future of the English Premier League giants.
As quoted by The Athletic, Fletcher said: “We currently have 13 young players and academy products on loan and playing regularly in other divisions or leagues.
“Hopefully we’ll see players like Brandon Williams, Teden Mengi, Jimmy Garner, Ethan Laird, Tahiti Chong, and Amad Diallo reap the benefits of that.
"All of them are doing really well on loan and we’re excited to bring them back in pre-season to see how they fare with our first-team players.”
