Alvey Reels will remain open after being acquired by Gowings

Queensland's iconic angling company Alvey Reels will not be closing its doors after being acquired by an Australian investment company.

Today Alvey Reels announced it had been acquired Gowings, which owns surfing brand FCS, saving it from shutting down.
