Alphonso Davies Transfer News: Man Utd Eye Summer Swoop

The latest Alphonso Davies transfer news has indicated that Manchester United are considering making a move for the lightning fast left-back in the summer, according to reports.

Davies has been on Real Madrid‘s radar for the last 12 months but the Red Devils will happily go toe-to-toe with the Spanish giants to try and secure his signature.

However, Davies’ wage demands of £240,000-a-week could prove a stumbling block alongside a potential £10 million signing on fee.

At this stage, it’s unclear whether INEOS will be happy to part with such figures for the Canadian star. What will sway a decision is that Davies appears that he will run his current Bayern Munich contract down this summer.

Could Alphonso Davies Move To Manchester United?

Alphonso Davies looks more than likely to leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the current season. Despite Bayern trying their utmost to keep him in Germany.

Manager Vincent Kompany has confessed it is down to the club’s directors to try and tie Davies down on a new, long-term deal.

Something of which the Bundesliga giants are trying to navigate but it appears to be a losing battle from their perspective. Therefore, Manchester United will try their luck. Realistically, could they get their man?

Incoming boss Ruben Amorim will play a pivotal role in trying to convince Davies his future lies at Old Trafford. Especially as he is set to implement his reliable 3-4-3 formation.

Such a lineup would allow Davies to flourish in the red half of Manchester. That, alongside meeting the financial requirements, could help United pip Real Madrid to his signature.

It’s no secret that Amorim will need to address the problems down the left-hand side of the pitch. Owing mainly to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia’s continued injury and fitness concerns.

The potential addition of 24-year-old Davies would provide a huge boost to supporters as well. If Amorim could secure a marquee signing of this magnitude, it’ll go a long way in getting the fans on his side.

United are back in Premier League action on Sunday as they take on Leicester City at Old Trafford. The best football betting sites in the UK price the Red Devils at 11/1 to win 3-1.
