One of Northumberland's most popular visitor attractions has announced a summer programme of events including an outdoor cinema screening films connected to the castle.
Alnwick Castle has been a filming location for scenes in the Harry Potter films and more recently, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Arguably best known for the flying lesson scene in Harry Potter in and the Philosopher's Stone, this will be shown on September 1 at the Luna Cinema.
It'll be followed by the fifth film, the Order of the Phoenix the following night, then the Dungeons and Dragons film on September 3. There'll also be theatre, with the Three Inch Fools descending on the historic building to perform the Shakespeare comedy "As You Like It" and their own calamitous twist on the folktale of Robin Hood on June 30 and July 1.
