Almost a third of Brits admit they waste water in their homes – despite the UK being at risk of future shortages.
A poll of 2,000 adults found a quarter have showers for longer than 10 minutes each time, while 45% do not turn the tap off when brushing their teeth.
Nearly a third even admitted to knowingly wasting water, with 29% letting the tap run before it reaches the desired temperature – and the same number flushing the toilet unnecessarily.
