Raging Ally McCoist questioned the point in VAR after a goal for Rangers was controversially chalked off against Borussia Dortmund.
The Premiership champions ran riot again in the Europa League against the Bundesliga giants and Ryan Kent looked to have added the third of the night.
However, following consultation with the video assistant whistler Antonio Mateu Lahoz ruled out the goal citing a foul by Alfredo Morelos on Emre Can in the build up.
But replays showed that the foul had actually been committed by the Dortmund midfielder.
McCoist was instantly enraged on BT Sport co-commentary duties, stating: "It's staggering. It's a diabolical decision, absolutely diabolical.
""He puts his foot down on the ground (Can), and he kicks him. Morelos takes the area in front of Can. It's Can's fault and he kicks Morelos.
"There you are, no contact at all. It's a scandalous decision.
"There is absolutely no contact that Morelos makes on Can, it's the other way about."
The angle that wasn't shown to the referee was later shown to McCoist, sparking more fury from the former Rangers player and boss.
"That explains it. That's madness. That determines Morelos foot was going in and Can was going in.
"What is the point in VAR if they don't show him the angles?"
