Ally McCoist in epic Neil Lennon clash one liner as Rangers hero eyes spot on Anthony Joshua undercard

Ally McCoist reckons Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte's spat has nothing on his fiery encounter with Neil Lennon.

The Rangers legend delivered a quip about his infamous fall out with the former Celtic boss during discussions about the Tuchel vs Conte drama which unfolded after Sunday's London derby. The Chelsea and Tottenham bosses were both sent off after a furious confrontation following the final whistle. But he reckons the drama doesn't match that of the Old Firm Scottish Cup clash back in March 2011.

Their coming together saw a Scottish Cup fist round replay clash at Celtic Park descend into chaos, with then assistant manager McCoist and Hoops boss Lennon squaring up upon the final whistle. The game itself had its fair share of drama with Steven Whittaker and Madjid Bougherra seeing red for second bookable offences before El Hadji Diouf sent off after the final whistle for antagonising behaviour after approaching referee Calum Murray.

But it was not just the players in the bad books, with McCoist and Lennon going at it after the clash drew to a close. A 'warm handshake' between the pair resulted in both squaring up to each other. Background staff forced to separate the duo when it kicked off. And it is still fresh in McCoist's memory more than 11 years on as he compared Sunday's coach collision with his own personal clash to yesterday's drama, with the Rangers man reckoning he'd come out on top and is eyeing a spot on the Anthony Joshua undercard.

Speaking on talkSport on Monday, he joked: "What about myself and the wee man and then Tuchel and Conte on the undercard in Jeddah? What about some of that? Get us over to Jeddah for a piece of the action.

"I fancy my chances against the three of them."
