Ally McCoist will join ITV's World Cup commentary team alongside John Hartson ahead of this winter's competition.
The Rangers legend has proved popular among viewers, with the news that a Scottish accent will be involved in the competition bound to please despite the absence of the national side. Former Celtic frontman Hartson will also be on co-comms, with Wales looking for glory in Qatar. The duo will be heard alongside the likes of Clive Tyldesley, Sam Matterface and Jon Champion during the upcoming tournament.
There are other ex Old Firm faces also involved in the punditry line up, with Rangers legend Graeme Souness and former Parkhead star Roy Keane on board. Ian Wright, Gary Neville, Karen Carney, Joe Cole, Eniola Aluko, Nigel De Jong, Nadia Nadim and Hal Robson-Kanu make up the remaining well known names on the list of pundits.
Amid the appointments, ITV Director of Sport, Niall Sloan, said: “The World Cup is the biggest sporting event of the year and ITV are committed to bring viewers the very best extensive coverage of the tournament accompanied by expert punditry and analysis.
