An alleyway was taped off by police this afternoon following reports of an assault.
Police were called to the scene in Langshaw Walk, Bolton, at about 2pm. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a large emergency service presence near to the alley, off Wigan Road, following the incident.
The extent of the victim's injuries are not yet known. Officers said an investigation has been launched into what happened.
